I am a Professor at the Efi Arazi School of Computer Science, IDC, Herzliya.
My recent interests are in the
fields of Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Machine Learning. In particular, I am fascinated by
the latest advances in Deep Learning, and I'm curious to understand the implicit representation of geometric structures,
dynamical systems, and manifold data in deep neural networks.
I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
Since then I was post-docing at the department of Applied Math and Computer Science
at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and at NASA Ames Research Center, U.S.A.
I am now a full Professor at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), where I have been a faculty member since 1998.
I have been consulting for several high profile firms such as HP Labs, Google, and Amazon.
I was a visiting scholar at Google during 2011-2012 and worked as a principal scientist at Amazon during 2016-2018, working for the Amazon-Go project.
